Athletics Day!

The grass tickled my feet as I walked along the field, it was Athletics Day and Takahe was going win this year! I could feel a knot tied around my waist and every step I took towards the track it tightened up. We had Long Distance first the most breath taking sport, I lunged towards to the track and placed my foot behind the white line. It was like we were  in a slow motion movie when everyone tried to squeeze onto the shorter grass. People fell, slipped and walked along the way but I tried my hardest to not do those things. I could hear dozens of people taking huge breaths and so did I.

Rocks were glued onto my feet as I sat down drinking water, I had just pasted the finished line and I got 4 points for Takahe. I laid down onto the thick grass and looked at the grey clouds, I thought it was going to rain but the clouds seemed to look at me happily. Is that bad or good? I couldn't tell but my day was just about to start.

C.S.N.S Jammers!

On Friday 5th of November 2016, the College Street Normal School Jump Jam team came 3rd in the Advanced Open Jump Jam Nationals in Tauranga. I had the best time of my life traveling with our Jump Jam team! I had so much fun I came home missing our Hotel (The Reef). The Hotel had a MASSIVE pool and hot pool that we got to swim in, the pool was one the highlights of the trip. Also the hotel was opposite a beach and we got to see fireworks and light up Sparklers. On the night we competed Jump Jam Nationals we went to Lone Star to celebrate our achievement, the food we ordered was delicious and I could off ate another 10 bowls! While the trip lasted I had hang out with people that I would never talk too, I made more friends that I never knew liked the same things as me. Now I am really good friends with Milla, Lucy, Ayah and even the teachers! I will never forget this trip, and as I leave for Intermediate I will miss these days.

I also want to thank the parents and the teachers that helped with food, makeup, driving, taking care of us and all the things that a you think they will do. I can't imagine you guys not there to help, and if you weren't there, we wouldn't never made it to today, I want to thank you guys SOO MUCH!!! :D
